2024 Asia Bay Southern Innovation Forum": Exploring Automation Solutions for Restaurant Entrepreneurs

During the "2024 Asia Bay Southern Innovation Forum" catering entrepreneurs' salon, five restaurant experts from iCHEF, Toastaria, and other leading companies discussed the challenges of labor shortages in the food and beverage industry and the potential of automation solutions. Nuwa Robotics proposed the use of AI and robotic technology to enhance service quality, integrating technology into brand value to offer more personalized and human-centric services. Their Kedi robot, initially used in education, is now also employed for food delivery in restaurants and has already partnered with international hotel brands such as Hilton.

Meanwhile, Yo-kai Express founder, David Lin, shared how they utilize vending machines to provide convenient food services worldwide. Their machines can serve hot meals in just 90 seconds and have been installed in over 150 locations, including schools, hospitals, and airports. Additionally, their machines offer not only convenience but also increase brand exposure by displaying information about the food and brand on the screen for consumers.

These discussions highlighted the potential of automation technology in addressing labor shortages in the food and beverage industry. Automation can not only enhance efficiency but also improve customer experience, which is crucial for the industry's future development. The salon provided restaurant entrepreneurs with insights into how technology and innovation are essential drivers of industry progress and offered a platform for considering how to integrate these technologies to boost operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
