"Kaibi" Robot Officially Starts Work: Hsinchu NTU Partners with Nuwa Robotics to Create a New Model for Smart Care

Facing the long-term care challenges of an aging society, Hsinchu NTU Branch has partnered with Nuwa Robotics to introduce the new holistic care robot "Kaibi," using AI technology, multilingual interaction, and modular design to provide more comprehensive health protection for the elderly.

The robot not only offers welcoming guidance, real-time conversations, temperature detection, and skeletal recognition, but also helps elderly individuals through gamified rehabilitation activities for health assessments. By instantly transmitting health data to family members and medical teams, "Kaibi" assists in early detection of potential issues and reduces the workload of occupational therapists. Additionally, the robot is paired with Hakka board games to make health education activities more culturally relevant and increase elderly participation. Hsinchu NTU Branch emphasizes that it will continue to integrate innovative technology with human-centered care to create a new model of smart healthcare for healthy aging.
