To promote Taipei’s diverse culture and its image as a Muslim-friendly destination, the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism invited popular Malaysian influencers, Musang King Channel and Muslim influencers Muhsin & Aisyah, for a four-day, three-night immersive experience in September. The event, titled "Tap into Taipei," aimed to showcase the city’s vibrancy, fashion, innovation, and diversity to international audiences through the influencers' social media reach.
The influencers participated in various outdoor activities, such as hiking, YouBike cycling, and riverside walks, giving them a taste of Taipei's natural beauty and healthy lifestyle. They also visited iconic landmarks like the Taipei Dome, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and Taipei 101, exploring the modern and innovative aspects of the city. In terms of culinary culture, they enjoyed a range of local delicacies from night market snacks to Michelin-starred restaurants, while also experiencing Taipei's vibrant nightlife.
Musang King Channel delved into historical sites like Bopiliao and Si Si Nan Cun, exploring the blend of Taipei’s history and modernity. They also attended a professional baseball game to experience the local sports culture. Meanwhile, the Muslim couple Muhsin & Aisyah visited Taipei Grand Mosque, savored halal cuisine, and enjoyed Muslim-friendly accommodations. Their itinerary also included a visit to Yangmingshan's Beitou Thermal Valley, where they experienced the natural beauty of Taipei’s hot springs.
Through these influencers' in-depth experiences, the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism hopes to present Taipei as an international city that blends tradition with modernity, and to effectively communicate this image to audiences in Malaysia and Singapore, attracting more international visitors.
