South Korean Travel Technology Companies Gather in Kobe: Highlights of KTSC Demo Day Hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization

BIG Impact Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naotaka Hosono, hereinafter referred to as "BIG Impact") will hold the KTSC Demo Day in Kobe, hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization, on Tuesday, July 23.

The event is expected to be attended by the Head of the Japan Regional Center of the Korea Tourism Organization, South Korean travel tech startups, and business liaisons and investment managers from domestic Japanese venture capital firms, individual investors, local governments, and companies. The event will feature presentations from five travel tech companies and networking activities. The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), established in 1962 under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of South Korea, aims to promote the tourism industry. The organization is committed to supporting 200 Korean startups in their international expansion and nurturing three unicorn companies by 2027.

Currently, KTO is the largest support organization for travel tech companies in South Korea. To support the entry of Korean travel tech startups into the Japanese market, KTO established the Korea Tourism Startup Center (KTSC) in Tokyo on December 5, 2023.

This time, BIG Impact, as KTO's strategic partner for advancing into Japan, with the support of Kobe City, plans to introduce five outstanding Korean travel tech companies. The event will feature presentations from five travel tech companies and networking activities.

Participating Korean Travel Tech Companies:

  • AGL: Provides the global golf travel AI platform "TIGER GDS."

  • Kaflix: Offers real-time car rental booking services linked with ERP systems, designed specifically for overseas tourists.

  • Globaluer: A startup that develops real-time travel information services using AI and artificial intelligence technologies.

  • Monolith: Operates a non-motorized kart theme park called "981 Theme Park."

  • Nuua: Provides next-generation aviation distribution standards (NDC) and integrated GDS and LCC airline ticket solutions.
