In his opening remarks, SparkLabs Taiwan Senior Partner Charlie Chiu emphasized that since its inception, SparkLabs Taiwan has successfully connected 86 startups with international resources, helping many companies achieve breakthrough progress in overseas markets.
AI Voice Assistant: Revolutionizing Customer Service
Seattle-based Seasalt.ai specializes in developing AI voice assistants aimed at addressing common issues in traditional customer service, such as long wait times, robotic responses, and the inability to provide 24/7 service. Seasalt.ai's voice application not only understands mixed Chinese-English content but also engages in natural, context-based conversations with customers, offering around-the-clock automated customer service. Companies like McDonald's, Cathay, and Lion Travel have already become its clients, and Seasalt.ai has established commercial partnerships with Taiwan's leading IT company Systex and Gogolook. Leveraging its success in the Taiwan market, Seasalt.ai is now actively expanding into the U.S. market, aiming to bring this technology to a broader global audience.
AI Social Media Manager: A Digital Assistant for the F&B Industry
Colega AI has launched an AI social media manager tailored to the needs of the food and beverage industry. This product is designed for ease of use, allowing users without a technical background to manage it effortlessly. As social media's importance continues to rise, restaurant operators increasingly rely on online platforms to attract customers. However, managing social media often requires significant time and effort, becoming a pain point for many small restaurant owners. Colega AI's solution automatically analyzes social media trends, generates eye-catching content, and even responds to customer messages and manages online reviews, greatly reducing the burden on restaurant operators. Currently, Colega AI has partnered with Taiwan's well-known restaurant group, Zhujian, and is actively expanding internationally, with plans to enter the Japanese market this year. Within just two months of its launch, Japanese test users have already provided positive feedback.

In addition to AI voice assistants and social media management, other participating teams showcased innovative applications of AI technology in various fields. Valtec is a company focused on AI drone technology, aiming to revolutionize traditional deep-sea fishing operations. Their drone technology not only improves operational efficiency in the fishing industry but also reduces labor costs. Valtec has already partnered with fishing groups in Taiwan and the Philippines and plans to expand into the Japanese and Korean markets. Another Taiwan-based team, AiSeed, is developing drones equipped with AI chips. These drones, with their powerful endurance and advanced AI capabilities, have attracted attention in the U.S. and Australian markets.

This Demo Day was not only a showcase of startup achievements but also a display of the ambition of Taiwanese startups to expand internationally. From AI voice assistants to drone applications, Taiwanese startups are leveraging their innovative technologies to carve out new opportunities in the global market. In his speech, Charlie Chiu stated, "Taiwan's innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem continues to grow, and we believe that more Taiwanese startups will shine on the international stage in the future."
