The Taipei City Government’s Department of Economic Development will host the "StartSphere Taipei" International Innovation Forum from September 4 to 6, 2024, as a central event of the "Trendy Taipei" series. The forum, themed "Today's Technology, Tomorrow's Trends," will focus on exploring the latest developments in global consumer, entertainment, and fintech sectors. Participants include renowned investment institutions and innovative companies from various Asia-Pacific countries, such as Korea's Goyang Investment Authority, technology firm Hanteo Global, and SmartStudy, famous for "Baby Shark."
The forum will bring together successful Taiwanese companies like FunNow, Fansi, Cherri Tech (TapPay), DMKTZ Inc., and PicSee, alongside international accelerators and venture capital firms such as AppWorks, CDIB, and Hive Ventures. Additionally, Singapore’s Monk's Hill Ventures, Japan’s Headline Asia (formerly Infinity Ventures), and the Vietnam government-backed Thinkzone Ventures will attend, focusing on promoting digital transformation and expanding cross-border collaborations in entertainment and media services.
This forum serves not only as a platform for Taipei to showcase its status as a "Startup-Friendly City" but also as an important opportunity to drive international technological innovation and the integration of cultural and entertainment technologies. Participants will explore how to leverage Taipei's dynamic startup ecosystem and innovation capabilities to pioneer new developments in digital content, technology, and AI, while seeking broader collaboration opportunities in the tech-driven global market.
